| Description | Private plate. Watson was physician to Middlesex Hospital from 1827 to 1843, and professor at both King's College, London (1835-40) and London University (1828-31). In 1859 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of London, and in 1866 he was created baronet in recognition of his long and dedicated service to medicine. |
