| Description | Detailed landscape with cattle, little boy and herderess in Italianate setting with lowering sun. while the little boy pushes a cow further uphill and a dog runs around the group to protect and speed up the pace of the animals, the herderess peacefully rests on a donkey packed with their belongings as she watches the sheep and cows enjoy the water of the small pool in front of them. Behind the bushes, the background stretches out to an immense landscape with plains surrounded by larger mountains. |
