Bronze gong. 315mm diameter. Decorated with an etching of a chinese dragon surrounded by a circle of floral patterns.
Repair History: The instrument suffered slight damage in transit, and was partially repaired by James Blades.
General usage of type: orchestral. Specific usage history: One of a batch of three imported from China by the Premier Drum Company in 1934. Purchased by James Blades and used by him as an orchestral tam-tam and in his lecture-recitals.
