Three pieces: Original named and numbered mouthpiece, upper section with integral barrel, lower section with integral bell. Simple system with Barret action. Straight speaker. Long tailed A♭ key. One additional trill key for R1. Shaped C♯₄/G♯₅ key to enable gliding to L4 bascule keys. Covered tone-hole under R2 to avoid finger spacing. Tone-hole for R1 through upper tenon. Shaped thumb rest. 13 keys, 3 rings, 1 plate, 4 ebonite rollers. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮. L2: T + ring; throat A♭. L3: T + ring; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅.
