Technical description: Silver-plated brass; fitting for music card holder; two water-keys. Valve type: 4 Périnet valves, bottom sprung; alignment by nylon key on piston. Overall size: 889; bell 483. Sounding length: minimum 4051. Bore: mouthpipe at c 30mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 13.0; centre of 3 valve cluster at c 350mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,2,3) 18.1; centre of 4th valve at c 560mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (4) 18.3; m.t.s. at c 673mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 19.6; m.t.s. at c 869mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 21.9; 2026mm from bell end, c 40.4; c 1394mm from bell end, 57.1. B = 0.34. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 14.6 - 13.7. Inscribed on bell "Made by" / trademark globe of the world with "B & H" superimposed and ribbon forming a stave with a musical note, and "R" within a circle / "BOOSEY & HAWKES / England / Imperial"; on opposite side of bell "621901"; on sides of first three valve casings "1", "2", "3".
