DescriptionTechnical description: Silver-plated; short type. Wide fitting; medium rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.75; deep intermediate, almost conical, cup shape; smoothly blended throat. Cup volume 2393; shape quotient 1.129. Overall size: length 59.6; external diameter 23.5. Sounding length: cup depth c 26. Bore: cup diameter 15.5; minimum diameter 3.6. Depth of taper: shank depth 27.5. Diameter of taper: maximum 8.6; minimum 7.3. No inscriptions. Purchased by lender with and probably formerly used with orchestral horn (1874), fits crooks with wider mouthpiece receiver taper. |
