Bore: end of tuning shank at 97mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 9.9; centre of valve cluster at c 168mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,2,3) 11.3; 630mm from bell end, c 16.4; c 409mm from bell end, 23.2; Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 10.0 not tapered. Technical description: brass; ligature tuning slide at mouthpipe; fitting for music card holder. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, bottom sprung; alignment by key on piston. Inscribed on bell "Gautrot Breveté / à Paris" and Gautrot trademark of "G A" with anchor and rope within ellipse. Purchased with, probably formerly used with, and possibly supplied by maker with mouthpiece (4239). |
