Technical description: Brass; medium rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.75; intermediate cup shape with minimum bore c 6mm beyond bottom of cup; maximum throat curvature 16. Cup volume 1211; shape quotient 1.149. Overall size: length 85.2; external diameter 26.0. Sounding length: cup depth 8. Bore: cup diameter 17.5; minimum diameter 4.5. Depth of taper: shank depth 40.0. Diameter of taper: maximum 11.8; minimum 10.4. No inscriptions. Purchased by lender with but probably not formerly used with keyed trumpet in Eb (3158).
