Air column lengths of tuning slides excluding tenons (533a) 180, (533b) 590, (533c) 688, (533d) 795, (533e) 1090. Bore: v.t.s. (1,2,3) 11.0; m.t.s. (all 5 slides) 11.5. Bell wall angle at D=100mm, 25.5. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 8.5 at end. Technical description: Brass; fixed mouthpipe; angle between axis of mouthpipe / crook receiver and axis of bell 115. Bell with garland. One water key. 5 tuning slides, no coil (533a) for G, 1 coil (533b) for sharp F, 1 coil (533c) for F, 2 coil (533d) for E, 2 coil (533e) for Eb. Valve type: 3 rotary valves, lever operated with drum springs. Inscribed on bell "TRADE MARK / BOOSEY" within trumpet and banner emblem and "BOOSEY & CO / MAKERS / 295 REGENT STT / LONDON / 23994"; inscribed on each key, linkage and valve cap "12". Usable pitch: With high pitch F crook pulled 35mm, plays at A4 = 446 Hz. Performance characteristics: Stuffy. Given with and possibly formerly used with mouthpiece (664). |
