Antique paper label attached to loose keywork inscribed on one side "BORNELM" (sic) / "ROUEN" and on the other side "Mr John Parr / 325 Fulwood Road / Sheffield / England". Decorative features: Painted or transfer decoration on exterior below bell rim of stylised floral and foliage in gold paint, picked out with red and green. Key for tone hole on bell detached but present, complete with keymount. Crook and left hand finger hole section all missing; keywork for R0 all missing. Stay to brass section and ferrule at proximal end of wood section missing. Holes from earlier woodworm infestation, now believed dead. Leather covering on bow cracking and partially detached. |
