Bore: at c 30mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 11.5; descending slide, 11.7; ascending slide, 12.2; m.t.s. bore, 14.8 - 19.0. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.1 - 11.7. Inscribed on bell "CLASS / A / 50 MEDALS OF HONOUR / FB / BESSON AND CO / Prototype / 198 EUSTON ROAD / LONDON "; on side of mouthpiece receiver "BESSON & CO / BREVETES / 7232"; on outer slide nearest mouthpiece and on bell section at joint "7232". With soft black drop in case. Siphon blocked off. Usable pitch: Old Philharmonic pitch. |
