Technical description: German silver; semi-flat rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.0; funnel cup shape; maximum throat curvature c 16. Cup volume 1523; shape quotient 1.150. Overall size: length 56.4; external diameter 24.8. Sounding length: cup depth 16. Bore: cup diameter 15.6; minimum diameter 4.6. Depth of taper: shank depth 26.4. Diameter of taper: maximum 10.3; minimum 9.0. No inscriptions. Purchased by lender with and possibly formerly used with cornet in Bb etc (1610).
