Repair History: With several inelegant but functional patches. Overall size: 389; bell 117. Sounding length: minimum 1769. Bore: mouthpipe at c 27mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 11.15; m.t.s. at c 424mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bores 11.05 11.2; at 885mm from bell end, c 11.0; centre of valve cluster at c 1079mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s.(1,2) 11.4; no tuning slide on 1st valve; at c 302mm from bell end, 15.55; at 12.4mm from bell end, 78.2. Decorative features: engraved foliage design around inscription on bell; heavily embossed floral design on garland; embossed plate on mouthpipe with band instruments in centre and floral design above and below. The 1st valve loop (which should be for two semitones) is very short and without a tuning slide: this is probably the result of a cosmetic repair. |
