Fixed valve loops with no tuning-slides; alternative main tuning-slides; the moving part of the main tuning-slides have the proximal outer leg and the distal inner leg. With music card-holder. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top sprung with compression spring inside hollow stem; alignment by two equal tabs on spring plate and matching slots in casing bore (so 180 degree misalignment is possible!). 1 rotary quick-change valve. Inscribed on bell "CONICAL BORE / PATD / E.A.Couturier Co / LAPORTE / IND"; on side of valve casings "1", "2", "3", and on reverse side of 2nd valve casing "PAT. SEPT.23, 13 / OTHER PATS. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 10.1 9.0. Decorative features: Floral motif around inscription on bell; mother of pearl buttons. In fitted case, probably original. Music card holder screw missing.
