Repair History: Converted from high pitch to low pitch. According to the firm's archives [instruments books], the instrument was "Bb Trombone American Model & I.P. Slides", made in a batch of twelve. Overall size: 1108; bell 183. Bore: at c 50mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 10.7; expanding by 100mm from mouthpiece receiver to bore c 11.2; descending slide, 12.2; ascending slide, 12.3; m.t.s. bore, 14.8 - 18.5. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.0 - 11.3. Inscribed on bell "SOLBRON / (REGISTERED) / CLASS A" / "TRADEMARK" and "BOOSEY" within trumpet-and-banner emblem / "BOOSEY & CO. / MAKERS. LONDON / 114793 / British Throughout"; on counterweight "BOOSEY & CO. LONDON". Decorative features: Foliage pattern around inscription on bell. |
