Description

Wooden conical shell; heads tensioned by leather thongs bound round at waist to further tension the thongs running from head to head. With cloth carrying strap. Used with (1521) as pair beaten one with each hand in supporting rhythm. Head diameters: batter head 120mm, resonant head 90mm; part of a bàtá drum set.
