Technical description: Silver-plated; narrow flat rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.5; intermediate, almost hemispherical, cup shape with tapered throat having minimum bore at c 7mm beyond bottom of cup; maximum throat curvature c 6. Cup volume 1007; shape quotient 1.186. Overall size: length 80.5; external diameter 25.7. Sounding length: cup depth 8. Bore: cup diameter 17.4; minimum diameter 4.2. Depth of taper: shank depth 38.3. Diameter of taper: maximum 11.8; minimum 9.8. Stamped at top of shank "BESSON / PARIS". Purchased by lender with and possibly formerly used with Aïda trumpet in B (3344).
