Technical description: Silver-plated; medium rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.5; intermediate cup shape with tapered throat having minimum bore at c 5mm beyond bottom of cup; maximum throat curvature 6. Cup volume 924; shape quotient 1.135. Overall size: length 69.9; external diameter 27.3. Sounding length: cup depth 9. Bore: cup diameter 16.1; minimum diameter 3.8. Depth of taper: shank depth 36.7. Diameter of taper: maximum 11.0; minimum 9.6. No inscriptions. Purchased by lender with and possibly formerly used with soprano trombone in Bb (1297).
