DescriptionOverall size: 1020; bell 206. Bore: m.t.s. (in crook) 20.5 26.7; distal end of crook 31.7. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.7 11.2. Technical description: Wood bound with impregnated fabric; metalwork silver plated brass. Crook (three quarter coil), length excluding tenon 830. No overlapping keys. Bell garland silver plated brass. Inscribed on bell garland "J. Pask 441 West Strand London". Decorative features: Interior of bell painted red. General condition very fragile, with binding fabric becoming loose in many areas and wood laminations separating. Bell garland detached, part of wooden rim missing (one section approx 25mm square, one approx 10mm 70mm). Longitudinal split (approx 200mm) in bell. Chimney for D key missing, chimney for key nearest bell split in three places. Lent with, probably formerly used with and possibly supplied by maker with mouthpiece (3314).
