DescriptionTechnical description: Brass, four coils with four ferrule-covered joints between valve and bell, gusset in bell, French (wired) bell rim; tuning shank mouthpipe with ligature screw restraint. Valve lowers pitch by 5 semitones; valve loop with tuning-slide. With hook for R2; fitting for music-card holder; no water-key. With ring on tuning-shank outer for chain to attach mouthpiece and with two rings on coils for carriage cord. Valve type: 1 Périnet valve, top-sprung, alignment by taquet on piston engaging with a channel in the casing interior. |
