DescriptionTuned bamboo sliding rattle. Eight suspended sections hanging on a bamboo frame. Each section consists of two bamboo tubes, tuned an octave apart. The bottom of each tube is closed at the node, a tongue-shaped segment is cut out of one side of each tube determining the pitch. The tubes sit in a small trough cut in the base of the frame and allow the tube to move back and forth as it is shaken.
