DescriptionTechnical description: Cardboard box, c 1880, containing assorted reeds. The box is from J. & P. Coats and was originally for six-cord spool cotton, there is a paper label of the company on both the top and bottom of the box. One side of the lid missing. Contents of the box: 12 cane drone reeds, one of which is in a brass metal sleeve; cylindrical wood box containing four complete chanter reeds and two incomplete chanter reeds. |
