Description
Technical description: Nickel-plated pressed steel construction. The pedal hinge which carries the main spring is fastened to lower frame side-rails by an early example of spot welding. Distance from cymbal centre to hinge 233; Distance from securing clip hinge pin to centre line of hinge bracket 45. The lower rails have been stamped at four places to form a sharp spur to reduce sliding on a wooden floor. The lower strap is fitted with a clip that holds the pedal closed for transport. Cymbals are mounted with wing nuts on the end of the pedal mechanism, on adjustable bars to allow alignment of cymbals. The footplate is pierced with nine cut-outs to lighten pedal. A heel stop is spot welded to the lower end of the footplate. There is no rivet `stop' fitted to the pedal as with (2419) which is of similar design. |
