DescriptionTechnical description: Gauge made of brass, 39.8mm long, increasing in width from 11.0mm at the bottom to 12.4mm at the top. Numbered on the left side from 60 - 130 in graduations of 10 lines, and on the right side numbered for each 5 lines (e.g. 60, 65, 70, 75 etc.). There are full lines across for each of the 10s, and half lines for each 5 graduations. The gap at 60 is 0.60mm, at 130 is 1.60mm. Inscriptions: "B. & S. / L." Associated with violin (3040) and bow (3041). Current ownership: Gift of Miss Edith Dundas, 1989. |
