Fanfare.
Technical description: Brass, single coil, with german silver ferrules, stay mounts and large bow guard; wired bell rim; small ball on bell yard. Tuning-slide at distal bow.
Overall size: 720; bell 160.
Sounding length: minimum 2060.
Bore: mouthpipe at c 27mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 11.05; at 1030mm from bell end, c 10.8; at c 451mm from bell end, 15.25; at 23.1mm from bell end, 78.6. B = 0.82. Bell cutoff = 1200 Hz.
Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.2 - 11.1 (hardly tapered).
No inscriptions.
Usable pitch: Playable at A⁴ = 439 or 440 Hz.
