Case for violin.
DescriptionTechnical description: Wedge-shaped violin case of black painted pinewood with roof-shaped top, lined with blue baize; Overall length 785mm, width (along straight section) 234mm - 110mm, maximum height (at bottom) 135mm; 2 brass hinges at the back, brass handle and lock in the centre and brass press catches either side at the front. Storage compartments at either side of the neck, and at the top; room for two bows in the lid. Inscriptions: "Fragile" and "Poste Restante" (La Souste) labels attached to the bottom. Wood has split along the bottom. Curent ownership: Lent by H. Allen. |
