DescriptionTechnical description: 12ΒΌ-inch chanter or chalumeau; The two lowest finger-holes are set to left and right of the centre line and the right hand hole has been closed up with wax; two sound-holes are placed diametrically front and rear. All the finger-holes have been finished by burning out. Tenor drone or petit bourdon with two sections. The chanter and tenor drone are set in a carved flat rectangular stock. Bass drone or grand bourdon with three sections and a single cane reed. Light hardwood, mounted with three brass ferrules on the bass drone and bass drone stock. |
