Description

Technical description: Copper alloy string gauge. Hole for hanging in the bottom. Overall length 82mm, width 18.9mm at the top, 17.3mm at the bottom. Scale marked from 0 - 64, numbered at each 10, gridded in 5s, in millimetres. Dots, 1mm diameter on each arm. Width at 50 is 2.00mm. Current ownership: Purchased in 1983 with assistance from the Government's Local Museums Purchase Fund and the University's General Council Trust. (Glen Collection).
