Names of instruments marked on for suitable diameters, Violin E= 5-6.5, A= 6.5-9, D= 9-11.5, G= 7-10; Viola A= 8.5-10, D= 10-11.5, G= 11.5-13.5, C= 13.5-15; Cello A= 12.5-14, D and G= 14-17, C= 17-21.5. Overall length of gauge 62mm, overall width 20mm. Current ownership: Purchased in 1983 with assistance from the Government's Local Museums Purchase Fund and the University's General Council Trust.
