Description
Technical description: This is an open, fully rounded, ebony frog with an upper surface that comes to a point at the front and has a flat top surface with a hole. A slot for the hair runs around the heel to the top. Ferrule width: c.14.37mm (difficult to measure - attached to board). Frog height: 49.82mm. Frog top length: 76.79mm (measured to point).
Inscription: There are two marks "\\" in front of the hole on the top surface. The frog is attached to a board that is labelled in ink on a sticker underneath, "Fixed nut - prior to / slip in variety / Then came the Travelling nut". |
