Description
Technical description: This ornate, screw-mechanism, hourglass, ebonite frog has a silver (?) ferrule, a mother-of-pearl slide, nickel (?) underslide, and brass screw eye. Ferrule width: 13.48mm. Frog height: 22.50mm. Frog top length: 43.22mm.
Inscription: Decorated with a carved head with raised lettering "PAGANINI" on the thumb side and a carved violin and scroll on music on the finger side. Labelled "F13".
There is some corrosion on the screw eye and underslide. |
