DescriptionTechnical description: This screw-mechanism, squared, ebony frog is faced with ivory and has a nickel (?) underslide, silver (?) ferrule, and one-piece silver-plated (?) heelplate and backplate. It has a mother-of-pearl slide and mother-of-pearl eyes, each surrounded by an ebony (?) ring. Similar to cvi. Ferrule width: 12.78mm. Frog height: 20.80mm. Frog top height: 41.56mm.
Inscription: Labelled "F18".
The underslide and screw eye are very corroded. There are cracks in the slide. |
