Description
Technical description: This open, screw-mechanism, rounded, ivory frog retains a brass screw eye and has its mortise filled with wood. Ferrule width: 13.38mm. Frog height: 20.45mm. Frog top length: 42.90mm.
The stamp, upside down on the finger side, measures 1.37mm high, 11.27mm wide: "CORSBY". This appears as if it has been re-stamped. It is also marked "1789" in pencil on the top surface and has handwritten in ink on the bottom: "CORSBY / KAMRTON". The frog is also labelled "F4".
It has a number of cracks. |
