Valve type: 3 Périnet valves. Repair History: The F crook is a replacement, unstamped and with a different style of mouthpiece receiver sheath. Stamped on bell "26 MEDALS / FROM / ALL NATIONS" in oval outline but without ellipse, then monogram FR / "F. BESSON / BREVETÉE / 198, EUSTON ROAD / LONDON"; inscribed on valve balusters, top caps and bottom caps "4", "5", "6"; also inscribed on 2nd valve casing with "F. BESSON" / five-pointed star / "BREVETÉE" within ellipse, then "13693"; the shank and crooks stamped (a) "93" and "G", (c) "93" and "E♮" and "MI♮", (d) "93" and "E♭", (e) "93" and "D", (f) "93" and "D♭". |
