DescriptionTechnical description: brass; garland reinforced at rim with D section ring. Wooden spacing block; bound with braided cord, dark maroon.
This is a copy of the trumpet by Hanns Hainlein, Nürnberg, 1632 (Stadtmuseum, Munich, 67 5); the original however has a sounding length of 2271 and a bore of 11.5.
Overall size: 705; bell 95.
Sounding length: 2122 without tuning bit.
Bore: at c 20mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 11.1; at 1061mm from bell end, 11.1mm; at c 350mm from bell end, 15.65; at c 350mm from bell end, 15.7. B = 0.79. Bell cutoff less than 800 Hz.
Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.7 - 11.1.
Inscribed on garland "MACHT TROMPETEN KURSUS EDIn."
Decorative features: garland and ferrules decorated with toothed edge and stamping.
Playing accessories: Tuning bit to convert pitch to A4 = 415 Hz.
Usable pitch: D at A4 = 440 Hz.
Associated with (4202) brass sheet cut to shape for making bell etc; mouthpiece (4203) purchased for use with this instrument. |
