DescriptionTechnical description: Brass. `Système E. Daniel' compensation, the `Arban Compensateur' model - which differs from that of tenor saxhorn (3713). The mouthpipe leads via the main tuning-slide to the upper port of the 3rd valve. If the 3rd valve is not operated, the windway leads out from the upper port of the 3rd valve, via a loop with a water-key, and re-enters at the lower port of the 3rd valve. The windway passes from the lower port of the 3rd valve through the lower ports of the 2nd and 1st valves, which act as normal, to the bell. If the 3rd valve is operated, the windway passes round the side of the 2nd valve into the top port of the 1st valve; there are then two separate loops leading back to the 1st valve, the longer being the windway when the 1st valve is operated; there is then a tube leading via the 3rd valve tuning-slide to the lower port of the 3rd valve. With music card-holder fitting. With crook for A♭ only. Valve type: 3 Périnet-type valves, bottom-sprung; alignment by key on piston. Cornet. Nominal pitch: Bb etc. Maker: F. Sudre. Paris.
