This 11-keyed instrument was made in Vienna from dark-stained maple with brass ferrules and keywork. It has an unperforated brass crook and the wing has a metal-lined tuning slide in the upper part with extending touches. The C finger-hole is brushed with ivory. The bell has a flaring bore and Dresden external profile.
The instrument is stamped on the butt “Küss / Wien” and was gifted by L. G Langwill in 1981. It still plays well.
