DescriptionTechnical description: Bamboo duct flute; window at rear; ivory ferrules; 6 finger-holes, 1 nasalizing hole for membrane, 2 vent-holes nears bottom; diameter 20mm. Overall size: 460mm. Performance characteristics: There appear to be two alternative ways of playing: (1) as an end blown flute if a mouth hole on top is covered and (2) as a side blown duct flute if the end of the flute is blocked. |
