Valve type: 3 Périnet valves; `New Valve Action' (top sprung; springs extend when valves operated). Repair History: Broken mouthpipe sleeved, 1984; 2nd valve tuning-slide patched. Inscribed on bell "N.V.A." in box, "SILBRON / (REGISTERED) / CLASS A", trumpet & banner trademark, "BOOSEY & CO LTD / MAKERS. LONDON / 134124 / British Throughout", "I.P." in oval. Arrow inscribed on rotating cap of quick-change valve. Inscribed on valves "39", "38" with trumpet & banner trademark and "105768 / PATENT 193729", "37". Overall size: 500; bell 115 Bore: mouthpipe at c 25mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 9.7; m.t.s. at c 220mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning-slide bore 11.0; centre of valve cluster at c 622mm from moutpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (3, 2, 1) 11.0; at 668mm from bell end, c 10.95; at c 299mm from belle end, 15.5; at 12.7mm from bell end, 68.6.
