DescriptionTechnical description: Silver-plated brass; adjustable throat, having six plungers approximately 2.1mm diameter with conical tips protruding into the throat region. Minimum area rather less than half the maximum. Medium rim contour; maximum bite curvature 1.0; intermediate cup shape; maximum throat curvature c 15. Cup volume 1840; shape quotient 1.175. Overall size: length 68.5; external diameter 27.5. Sounding length: cup depth 15. Bore: cup diameter 17.0; minimum diameter 4.6. Depth of taper: shank depth 34.3. Diameter of taper: maximum 11.0; minimum 10.0. Inscribed on side of adjustment collar "BARBE & FILS / BERCK PLAGE / PAS DE CALAIS" within dotted ellipse, and "EMBOUCHURE RÉGLABLE / (BREVETEE S.G.D.G.)", and "ETOILE DU NORD" across rayed star emblem. Decorative features: Milled rings at top and bottom of adjustment collar. CS: With fitted hard case, black leather covered. |
