DescriptionTechnical description: Rosewood with silver keys. Sockets and reed well lined with silver. Second octave key is a lever, although the only other levers are the C and B♭ keys. The L2 ring and the L1 pierced-plate are connected to a hole between L1 and L2 which is closed by either or both of these touches; this enables a forked C to be played (with just L2 plus some right hand fingers to `focus' the tone) while still keeping the open C♯ in tune.
