Description3 valves. Technical description: Brass with german silver trim. No tuning slide on 2nd valve. Two rings for sling. Valve type: 3 Berlin valves, Wieprecht pattern. Repair History: There are a number of patches, large and small, perhaps necessitated by the rather light overall construction.The main tuning-slide has possibly been shortened, since there are alignment marks on the inner and outer valve tuning-slides and the (moving) inner slide of the main-tuning-slide, but no alignment mark on the (fixed) outer main tuning-slide. Overall size: 823; bell 255. Sounding length: minimum 3590. Bore: mouthpipe at c 45mm from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore) 13.1; m.t.s. at c 509mm from mouthpiece receiver, tuning slide bore 14.1; centre of valve cluster at c 1270mm from mouthpiece receiver, v.t.s. bore (1,3) 14.6; 1795mm from bell end, c 21.2; c 1406mm from bell end, 30.0. B = 0.52. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 13.4 - 13.1. No inscriptions. Decorative features: Plain german silver garland, width c 47mm.
