Overall size: length 75.8; external diameter 39.9. Sounding length: cup depth 26. Bore: cup diameter 27.2; minimum diameter 6.5. Depth of taper: shank depth 36.8. Diameter of taper: maximum 13.3; minimum 10.9. Stamped on side of cup "ANTOINE / COURTOIS / BREVETÉ / 88 R. DES MARAIS ST MARTIN / PARIS". Purchased by lender with, probably formerly used with and possibly supplied by manufacturer with bass trombone in G (1865).
