DescriptionTechnical description: Stained boxwood with ivory ferrules and german silver keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Two mouthpieces in case, one grooved for cord, one marked for a ligature. Zig-zag speaker with ivory chimney on left side of the instrument. Keys mounted between pillars on plates. End pivoted F₃/C₅ key. 13 keys, 4 german silver rollers.

With a wooden box, definitely made for the instruments (4836) and (5497). Also in case: four mouthpieces, two originally for string, two for ligature of which one had been shortened and has silver tooth-plate.
Repair History: Box refurbished externally.
(4836) in B♭ and (5497) in C are possibly a matched pair of clarinets.
