DescriptionTechnical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and silver keys. Six pieces: mouthpiece (blackwood, probably original), barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys, bell . Mouthpiece with long tenon. Upper section: two keyrings of rectangular profile. Speaker liner projects into bore. Middle section with a wide swelling ivory ferrule; no thumb rest. Lower section: levers mounted in a bell-shaped swelling. Keyring for E/B♮ parabolic. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮. L2: T. L3: T. L4: E₃/B♮₄; zig-zag F♯₃/C♯₅. R1: T; trill key for throat A-B♮. R2: T. R3: T. R4: T; G♯₃/E♭₅. Keymount type: blocks; swelling; SATK. Keyhead type: flat, square. Overall size: 710; 641 to top of barrel. Bore: at C₄ hole 13.9; at F₃ hole 14.2. Stamped "G. MILLER / No 79 / CORNHILL / LONDON" / unicorn trademark at bell and on barrel, upper section, middle section, and lower section "G. MILLER / LONDON" / unicorn trademark.
