DescriptionTechnical description: Ivory; 3 sections (lower body and foot in one piece); silver keys; 4 silver ferrules; graduated stopper, with wooden screw; no tuning-slide; slightly oval embouchure-hole; silver-lined sockets; socket at top of upper body, tenon on head; overlapping low C/C♯ touches. The word "patent" in the inscription refers to the pads mounted on central screws from Monzani's 1807 patent; and to the lower body and foot in one piece and the metal-lined sockets from his 1812 patent (G.B.
