DescriptionModèle court. Technical description: Brass, four coils; with loop for mouthpiece retaining chain (not present). Overall size: 513; bell 186. Bore: at c 40 from mouthpiece receiver (minimum bore), 10.6; expanding in 100mm to c 11.1; distance to m.t.s. c 650, m.t.s. stuck but external diameter of tubing remains constant for that distance. Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 12.1 - 11.5. Inscribed on bell "EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE DE PARIS" within banner, and "1900" within medal suspended below / "HORS CONCOURS / MEMBRE DU JURY" / monogram (C&C ?) / COUESNON & CIE / FOURNISSEURS DE L'ARMEE / 105. RUE LA FAYETTE / PARIS" / "38" within floral motif. Decorative features: Wounded with braided cotton cord (red, black and white) with two tassels, possibly not original. Main tubing dented and split. Purchased by lender with, probably formerly used with and possibly supplied by manufacturer with mouthpiece (3522). |
