DescriptionTechnical description: African blackwood with silver (-plated ?) keys. Reed well and sockets lined with metal, probably german silver. There is a bell ring, also probably of german silver. Simple octave keys. Depressing the C key lowers the R2 and R3 rings and the brille. System: Thumbplate L0: TP; 8.1. L1: PP; 8.2; spat. L2: R. L3: T; Dtr. L4: G♯; low B; low B♭; E♭ alt. R0: sup. R1: R; TP-alt. R2: R. R3: R; F. R4: low C; C♯; E♭.(no forked F vent). Keymount type: pillars. Keyhead type: cups. Stamped on all three sections "R. M / R. Malerne / Paris" in gothic lettering. The stamp is larger on the bell than on the other sections. |
