Overall size: length 88.4; external diameter 27.8. Sounding length: cup depth c 9.5; grain length 0. Bore: cup diameter 17.0; minimum diameter 3.6 at c 18. Depth of taper: shank depth 46. Diameter of taper: maximum 11.7; minimum 9.7. Stamped on side of cup "8"; also an incomplete stamp which could be a letter "A" or a numeral "4" reversed ?, within a circle. Purchased by lender and possibly formerly used with tenor piston bugle (4433). |
