Dia of mouthpiece receiver: m.r.t. 11.0 10.8 (hardly a taper). Technical description: Brass with german silver trim; no tuning slide on 2nd valve; ligature tuning at mouthpipe. With fitting for music card holder. Valve type: 3 rotary valves, cork buffers on casing. Inscribed on bell "N. Pat. 46239 / Farre / Oslo". With fitted wooden case, painted black. General literature references: Norwegian Patent No. 46239 was granted to William Farre, Oslo, on 22 January 1927 for an `Es kornet' of overall length of 312.5mm or 355mm, bell diameter 90mm.
